Surge or no surge?

I was hoping to do opks at 10am and 10pm this cycle. Unfortunately that's not very possible while being on vacation. The night of cd16 and then again cd18 the test line was almost as dark as the control but not quite- does that mean I did ovulate and just didn't time POAS right? I really wish they would have at least done bloodwork this month so I'd have some better idea. I've noticed NO fertile cm and I feel really "full" but that could just be from yesterday's workout.

So I guess I'm just going to assume I'm I'm the 2ww and test around cd30...

Cd14

And opk says ovulation is nowhere near.

So, I mentioned how Dr P was out of town the past two weeks so I'd miss the US and then we are out of town until Wednesday (cd16). I called their office this morning and he said to not even bother with bloodwork this cycle. I'll continue opks and doing the deed every other night until cd24ish and then wait and test. If I have a negative hpt i will start provera again on cd32ish. I thought next cycle would be 150mg clomid but Dr P keeps you at 100 for at least two cycles. I'm pretty bummed about this!

My sister and nephew came and stayed with us this past week. She got off the pill when C was about 10months and has had 35 day cycles since. She should have started her period last Saturday but didn't. She tested Tuesday and it was negative. Due to her symptoms I was convinced she was pregnant so I bought a test and she retested Thursday and sure enough she's pregnant! This is really exciting because she tried for C for years without conceiving! Her babies will be about 22 months apart! There wasn't the typical IF sting of hearing a pregnancy announcement that I normally feel so I'm happy about that. The bagilion Facebook announcements on my newsfeed from everyone else are starting to bring out those feelings again though :/

Fingers Crossed

Just took the 5th and final dose of clomid for this cycle. The past 4 days have been very uneventful and symptom free. My boob ( just the left one) was sore yesterday but after T nursed it was much better. I bought some opks (20pack from target for $15 because I didn't order them online early enough) and will start them this weekend...

Oh and I REALLY hope this works because I checked with our shitty insurance and it will NOT cover any part of IUI or anything. Whomp whomp.

No way!!!

Truitt has a Very specific "poop stance" so I have tried to catch it before and get him to sit on the potty. I'm not pushing going in the potty because he's still so young but id like him to associate going potty with his potty chair and realize it isn't just a funny looking seat. In the past I haven't been able to get the diaper off fast enough but this morning I shucked the diaper off and it was still clean. I told him to go potty and sat him down and made the straining/grunting noises... AND THEN HE DID TOO AND HE POOPED IN THE POTTY!!!! We were in the living room so when I went to dump the poo in the toilet he wanted to sit on the toilet and then he happily flushed his stinkies away!!!

You can bet I took pictures but the are not Internet appropriate ;)

So proud of my little fella- even of it was a fluke!!! And now I have one less diaper to soak ;)

CD1

Woohoo! This cycle was "only" 43 days.

So after getting my outrageous dr bill from last cycle I decided that I was going to try to talk Dr P out of doing ultrasound monitoring this cycle. Since we aren't doing a trigger or IUI there isn't really a need for it in my opinion. I called the office today to let them know I had started- and they're out until the 23rd! Cd12 is the 21st and then we will be out of town the 22nd-25th so I think between Dr P's vacation and ours we are going to have to skip the US this month anyway! I am going to do OPKs and I will call on the 23rd to see if and when I need to come in for bloodwork. The only tricky thing is we will be at my dad's during "love week" and that'll be interesting with T in our room- especially because their guest bed is only a full sized mattress!

I have quite a few friends that are TTC and two of them were on the same cycle timing as me a few months ago. They have had 4 periods where as I have only had 2 but we are all back on the same track now so hopefully this will be our month. I would love a spring baby! Oh IF- not only do you make it harder to conceive but you also take away half the months out of the year!

The plan is I am currently on 1000mg Metformin and a prenatal vitamin. I will begin clomid 100mg on cd5-9. I'll start opks in cd12 and we will go from there. Also planning on continuing with preseed and SoftCups this month....

Fluffy bums

I mentioned in T's 18 month update that we are in mostly cloth. If E changes him and I don't have a cloth diaper RIGHT there he will put him in a sposie. If he needs diaper cream we use a sposie because Flanders stains. 9 times out of 10 he wears a sposie to bed. Other than that he's in cloth! So I would guess that we use maybe 10 disposable diapers a week.

I recently started noticing some stink with our diapers and figured it was coming from the detergent (All Free&Clear) so we decided to switch to EcoSprouts. Before switching though I needed to strip the diapers to make sure all of the All was out of them. This requires some RLR (washing soda) and a LOT of rinsing! Once the diapers were all clean and dry I decided to take inventory :)

This is what we have: 4 flips, 3 oekopopo AI2, 4 piddle poddle AIO, (these are all pockets now--->) 5 wahmies, 4 Charlie banana, 3 sweet pea, 3 alva (have 4 more coming in the mail!), 3 no name pockets, 10 sunbabys! That's a total of 39 (not including what's on the way) plus several flip and gflapper inserts so it's more like 50 diaper changes. Last week I even sold 10 diapers. This is way more than we NEED but I just can't find any more I want to sell right now ;)

It's SO nice not having to buy diapers regularly and they just look so darn adorable on his tush!

Way to go Batman!

This little guy just fell asleep without Milkies and there wasn't crying!

Well, he nursed for about 10 minutes and when I unlatched him while he was still awake there was a few seconds of fussing but then he happily rolled around for an hour and finally fell asleep!

Just one more reason IF sucks

This is for 2 dr visits, 2 ultrasounds and one blood draw. I'm going to see if we can just do the blood draw next time because this is absolutely ridiculous and depressing.

18 Months!!!!

This post is a bit delayed because I was waiting on our dr visit. Truitt is up to 23lbs 11.5oz/50% (a different nurse was there so she put him on the baby scale!) and 34in/95%!!! My growing boy. All is well and he is on track developmentally and very healthy right now. What a blessing.

It's so funny because I always would take a list of questions in and had mentioned to Dr L how the list was getting shorter and shorter each checkup and he told me that by about 18months-2 years I wouldn't even have a list and he was right!

I did ask about weaning because as guilty as I am to admit it, there are more and more days when I'm feeling done. He told me that it was going to be a rough few days but after about 3 days of no nursing, Truitt wouldn't even ask for it even more. He told me though that the longer I go the better it is but to TRY to not feel guilty and to be very proud because not many people are willing to go through all the work of breastfeeding and let alone go 18 months for their babes. I don't think we will quit this month but I really think if I leave it to him to self wean he will go past 2. I guess we will just go week by week and see what works for us and when it's the right time.

As for T-man, he is sooooo busy. He loves riding on anything with wheels and still enjoys playing with his cars and any ball he can find. He doesn't say any phrases but has around 20 words. He is very attentive and will try to lock the door with keys, turn on the washing machine, help buckle his seat belt and mimic many other things (good and bad) that we do. He absolutely loves his baby cousin and he is quite the lover with any of his friends. Sometimes his hugs and kisses aren't well received by other kids and he gets his feelings hurt.

The last two canines just broke through the gumline so we are now at 16 teeth!

We are almost solely in cloth but he can wear a size 4 diaper, his shirts are 18M-2T, rompers are 24M and shorts are 12M. Crazy but his swim trunks that fit best are 6-9M!!!

Truitt, mommy loves you so much and you fill my life with joy. Thank you for being my sweet little man!
